How Acupuncture Works and What to Expect

Acupuncture is a Traditional Chinese Medicine approach to treating a variety of conditions. The practice involves the insertion of thin needles (about the size of a human hair) into the skin, at specific points on the body. A person may feel a small pinch that should dissipate quickly.

Acupuncture can restore the immune system, decrease pain, improve circulation, and reduce inflammation in the body.

Initial visits generally last from 60 to 90 minutes. Your acupuncturist will take a detailed health history and provide you with your unique treatment plan. During your treatments, your acupuncturist will spend time getting to know you and your health concerns.

Acupuncture is used to treat and help with: pain, anxiety, depression, PTSD, digestive upset, insomnia, migraines, fertility support, allergies, autoimmune disease, chronic fatigue, menopausal symptoms, and much more.
